This thesis entitled “Strengthening mathematical notions through the ABN method in four- year “A” students of Educational Institution Nº. 71 San Juan de Dios, Jacobo Hunter, Arequipa, 2023”, presents the general objective of Strengthening mathematical notions through the ABN method in 4-year “A” students of the I.E.I N°71 San Juan de Dios, Jacobo Hunter, Arequipa 2023 and as specific objectives to identify the characteristics of the development of mathematical notions, develop mathematical notions, apply the ABN method, and evaluate the impact of the ABN method on the development of mathematical notions in the students of said initial educational institution. It is oriented towards the qualitative approach of action research design. Applying the action plan corresponding to 16 learning activities and 2 workshops, applying the observation sheet, rubric and the field diary as evaluation instruments. Thus, upon completing the application of the action plan, the results were obtained that the students will be able to strengthen mathematical notions by identifying the perceptual characteristics of color, shape and size of the various structured and unstructured materials, as well as arguing the reason for their serializations and groupings, in the same way, children were able to use ordinal and cardinal counting in a conventional way in everyday situations. Keywords: Initial Education, Mathematical Notions, ABN Method.
