The present study titled Strengthening oral communication through student radio in five-year students of the Villa Continental Initial Educational Institution, Cayma, Arequipa, 2023; Its objective is to strengthen oral communicative competence using student radio as a strategy. The methodology used corresponds to the qualitative approach, pedagogical action research design, where 19 students from the 5-year-old classroom of the aforementioned institution have been taken as the unit of analysis. In this group, exploratory studies and a baseline were carried out where the deficient level of development that these children had in their oral communicative competence was determined, and then 18 activities contained in the action plan were applied with them, with the purpose to achieve student expression through school radio. It is worth mentioning that, during the process, information was collected from the beneficiaries through the instruments: field diary, observation sheet and teacher interview; With these data from triangulations, it is shown that the students have managed to strengthen oral communication, which is evident when recovering and deducing oral text information, expressing ideas in an understandable and fluid way, supporting their communication in gestures and movements, interact with their classmates, teacher and parents reflecting on the message they want to convey. Concluding that, the oral communication of the students improved significantly after the participation of the students in the student radio strategy.
