    This research, entitled "Documentary Analysis of Free Play Time in Early Childhood Education Sectors," aimed to analyze how free play time in early childhood education sectors influences children at this level of education by analyzing various documentary sources. Specifically, the study aimed to describe the importance of play, explain the different pedagogical approaches to play in early childhood education, and describe the methodology of free play time in early childhood education sectors. The study is framed within a qualitative approach, with a descriptive documentary research design and method. A systematic review of books, academic articles, theses, and specialized documents was conducted, applying categorization, coding, and qualitative content analysis techniques to interpret the information obtained. The main findings show that free play in early childhood education sectors fully supports children's development, fostering their different areas of learning and fostering meaningful experiences. It is concluded that this strategy is consolidated as an enriching space within the educational program, requiring adequate, organized spaces and accessible materials, as well as the role of the teacher in support, observation, and guidance.
