The present research study "Strengthening emotional intelligence with the application of dramatization workshops for 5-year-old children of an initial educational institution, Arequipa, 2022", had as its main objective strengthening the emotional intelligence of the students of the educational institution to in this way, contribute to their comprehensive development in their future academic life. On the other hand, the methodology used for the research was a qualitative approach, non-experimental design, cross-sectional and participatory action type. To collect data, the observation technique was used through three instruments: the field diary, the rubric and the interview. The population was made up of twenty-five-year-old boys and girls who study at said institution in the morning shift. To achieve the proposed objectives, a work plan was developed that consisted of 15 workshops based on the role-playing strategy, reaching the conclusion that emotional intelligence has been strengthened in its category of intelligence emotional.
