MARAZA COLLANQUI Fabiola PaolaARIAS MENA Ana PatriciaCHARCA MAMANI Ana Gabriela2024-05-272024-05-272024-05-27https://repositorio.ispa.edu.pe/handle/123456789/373The main purpose of this research work was to strengthen the development of investigative competence through scientific methods to build their knowledge through the STEAM methodology in students of the 6th grade "C" of an Educational Institution in the district of Paucarpata, Arequipa - 2022, being qualitative and its action research design, applied to a sample of 31 students. The field diary was used as the primary base instrument, for the results three instruments were applied, these being the field diary, the assessment scale and the focused testimony, these instruments were used for the analysis and reflection of the achievements obtained from the implementation of the action plan. Through a triangulation process, we were able to identify the level of development of the inquiry competence through scientific methods in sixth grade primary school students. To do this, we used the technique of observation and interviews directed at the classroom teacher, which allowed us to identify the initial level of the students, who had not yet fully developed inquiry skills, such as problematizing situations, formulating probing questions, hypothesizing, explore by conducting experiments, analyze data and information obtained from the inquiry, and communicate conclusions.
