    The objective of this work is to "strengthen the resolution of quantity problems through the use of structured and unstructured material in the students of the 6th grade of primary education, of an educational institution in the district of Yanahuara, Arequipa, 2022." The research is of a qualitative type and action-research design, applied to a sample of 24 students whose ages range between 11 and 12 years. The instruments used to collect data were a diagnostic exam, an interview with the teacher, and the field diary that allowed the recording of the progressive improvement of the students. For the triangulation of the baseline, three instruments were used, such as a diagnostic test, an interview with the teacher, and a field diary, and for the results, an interview with the teacher, a field diary, and an assessment scale were used, where the results gave to know the improvement of the students after the application of the action plan. With our intervention we show that the use of structured and unstructured concrete material strengthens the resolution of quantity problems since the student can manipulate it and in this way can understand, relate, use various procedures and rely on it to form a position and defend it.     El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo “fortalecer la resolución de problemas de cantidad a través del uso de material estructurado y no estructurado en los estudiantes del 6° grado de educación primaria, de una institución educativa del distrito de Yanahuara, Arequipa, 2022.” La investigación es de tipo cualitativo y diseño investigación-acción, aplicado a una muestra de 24 estudiantes donde sus edades oscilan entre los 11 y 12 años. Los instrumentos utilizados para recoger datos fueron, un examen diagnóstico, una entrevista realizada a la docente, y el diario de campo que permitió el registro de la mejora progresiva de los estudiantes. Para la triangulación de la línea base se utilizaron tres instrumentos tales como un examen diagnóstico, entrevista a la docente y diario de campo y para los resultados se utilizaron una entrevista a la docente, diario de campo y una escala valorativa donde los resultados dieron a conocer la mejora de los estudiantes después de la aplicación del plan de acción. Con nuestra intervención evidenciamos que la utilización del material concreto estructurado y no estructurado fortalece la resolución de problemas de cantidad puesto que el estudiante puede manipularlo y de esta forma puede comprender, relacionar, usar diversos procedimientos y apoyarse de este para formar una postura y defenderla.
