Abstract
This research titled “IMPROVING READING COMPREHENSION THROUGH THE
STORYTELLING STRATEGY IN 5 YEAR OLD STUDENTS OF THE I.E.I. OCTOBER
12, CERRO COLORADO”, corresponds to the qualitative approach, participatory action
research design. Its general objective is to “Improve reading comprehension through the
storytelling strategy”, and its specific objectives are to identify the level of reading
comprehension, strengthen the understanding of oral texts heard in their mother tongue
through the storytelling strategy. , promote the understanding of the texts you read in your
native language through the story-telling strategy, evaluate the impact of the action plan with
the story-telling strategy. For the analysis there were 25 5-year-old boys and girls.
