Resumen
The present research work “Playful activities to enhance basic motor skills in 5-year-old
children of an Initial Educational Institution in the district of Cerro Colorado, Arequipa -
2022” is born from the observation, reflection and prioritization of the problems identified
during our professional practice. Being our main objective to promote basic motor skills in
5-year-old boys and girls through the development of playful activities, we also work on
body understanding through playful workshops - plastics and we will apply playful symbolic
strategies to develop emotional expression, important aspects that influence this study
process. Our research, due to its purpose and character, is of a qualitative approach, where
the type of research chosen is action-research and the methodology used is deconstruction -
reconstruction of the pedagogical practice, on the other hand, the selected population was
the classroom of 5 years, being the direct beneficiaries 23 children and the indirect ones a
teacher and the education assistant. For the collection of information, we have used field
notebooks, checklists and observation sheets, necessary instruments for adequate data
collection and processing. Finally, after the application of our solution category, contrasting
with theory, deconstruction and construction, triangulation of information, and reflection,
we obtained as a result that the Playful Activities have been effective because they have
managed to enhance the basic motor skills of 5-year-old children, additionally they have
managed to develop emotional expression and body understanding, being well received by
the educational community.
