Resumen
The research "Improving Verbal Fluency through Linguistic Games in Three-Year-Old
Children, Paucarpata, Arequipa-2023" is based on a qualitative methodology with an action
research design. The main objective is to improve the verbal fluency of three-year-old children
through linguistic games. Specific objectives include: applying activities to understand
instructions through riddles and stories; develop active participation in conversations through
songs and stories; stimulate language through songs and stories; and strengthen pronunciation to
reduce babbling.
The unit of analysis comprises nineteen three-year-old students, including seven boys and
twelve girls from an educational institution in Paucarpata. The problem was identified through
observation in pedagogical practice, using field diaries and checklists to deduce causes and
consequences. Interviews were carried out with the teacher and the children, as well as diagnostic
activities, confirming the limited verbal fluency and little active participation. As a strategy, twelve
activities were implemented with linguistic games, including riddles, songs and stories of interest
to children.
The results show that language games improved children's verbal fluency and clarity of
pronunciation when participating in conversations.
